While I care not to comment about yesterdays elections (because .. as I’ve stated before… my RED self is choosing not to discuss my political beliefs on my blog…. less I be hunted down and shot for believing in unalienable rights) I just had to ask:
Did anyone else think that Anderson Cooper’s interview on CNN with Will.i.am via hologram was the most absurdly hilarious thing they had seen all night?

From here
Who at CNN thought this was a good idea? I mean.. really? When did they decided that we want to see interviewees displayed in chopped up graphics that look like something we saw in 3rd grade during science class when our teachers would use the reel projector? And what’s with the funky blue glow around him? Is he some sort of media angel sent to spread the good word about Obama and “Rocking the Vote”?
Don’t get me wrong.. I was excited to see all of the uber cool 3D maps & projections from the major media darlings last night. Media graphics have come a long way in the last 10 years and they make nights like last night so much more enjoyable. That being said, I did 1/2 expecting to see Will.i.am disappear into R2D2’s rotund head when he was done with his interview.
CNN’s hologram interview, while I’m not discounting a very small ’cool’ factor, was mildy bizarre and seemed a bit out of place & off kilter for last nights events. After staring at my TV with a look of astonishment and disbelieve, I giggled for a good 15 seconds before I contemplated waking the husband so he could see the ridiculousness as it ensued. But I didn’t wake him. Instead, I switched back over to Fox News.. which was hologram-free for the evening.
Really CNN.. holograms?? That was the best you could do?
